Hope is a verb. It is not a passive feeling or abstract concept, but an active force that requires effort and action. Hope isn’t just about waiting or wishing for things to improve, but about taking steps toward positive change and improvement, even in difficult circumstances. Hope is something we do, actively working toward a better future, seeking solutions, and supporting others.
ABOUT HOPE In Action
We saw a need that was not being met after 10/7/23. We took action in a variety of ways. Our focus has been and continues to be directly donating to hostages and their families. You won’t see any gala dinners, fancy graphics, photos or videos to show our work. We don’t believe in using those we help for content or to solicit donations.
We are a community of caring people who get it. People who see what we do & how we do it, and they want to be a part of it. We are about community coming together to help those who need it most, in the most direct way. The micro donations are just as meaningful to our mission as the macro donations.
As we continue to actively hope for the return of the 59 still in captivity, we know the needs will be greater and long term, and we would like to be able to be there for those who need support. It takes community and we need your help. In addition to the physical and emotional needs that will be long term - even for families whose loved ones did not or will not come home alive - many hostages were also the family breadwinner prior to October 7.
We are creating purpose by giving in ways that align with our values. We are doing philanthropy differently in the way we think it ought to be done.
